The Volvo Penta D1-30 is an in-line 3-cylinder, 1.1-liter, naturally aspirated diesel engine equipped with a cam-driven, in-line injection pump and freshwater cooling system. Designed to operate at low cruising RPM, it delivers quiet performance with minimal vibration.

COMFORT

Smooth and quiet running is ensured through a dynamically balanced engine design and high-efficiency rubber isolation mounts. Reduced engine speed combined with an inlet air silencer further lowers noise levels, enhancing onboard comfort.

MARINE TORQUE

The engine delivers high torque at low RPM, providing strong power and quick response. This ensures excellent maneuverability in marinas, during docking, and when facing rough weather or confined operating spaces.

SOLID AND ROBUST CONSTRUCTION

Built with a rigid engine block and one-piece cylinder head, the D1-30 is engineered for durability and long service life. Its robust design ensures exceptional reliability under extended marine operating conditions.

EFFICIENT CHARGING

A high-capacity 115A alternator comes as standard. It features an electronic sensor to support higher battery charging capacity. Even at idle speed, the alternator delivers over 35A, and at cruising speeds it can produce approximately 100A.

FRESHWATER COOLING SYSTEM

The standard freshwater cooling system minimizes internal corrosion and maintains a consistent and optimal engine temperature, ensuring stable performance across varying marine environments.

LONG SERVICE LIFE

Volvo Penta propulsion systems are designed for easy maintenance and long operational life. Using genuine Volvo Penta oils, lubricants, and coolants ensures reliable performance. Optional accessories include a fuel pre-filter to maintain clean fuel supply and improve engine efficiency.
