Mazdutide 10mg Injection

Mazdutide 10 mg is a high-dose, once-weekly injectable medication being studied for weight management and type 2 diabetes. As a dual agonist, it activates both glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucagon receptors to reduce appetite and increase energy expenditure. The 10 mg dose was evaluated in a phase 1b trial and showed significant weight loss compared to a placebo over a 16-week period. Mazdutide is a synthetic peptide analogue that acts as a dual agonist for two different receptors: 

• GLP-1 receptor activation: Similar to other GLP-1 agonists, this action helps to promote insulin secretion, suppress appetite, and slow gastric emptying, which leads to lower blood glucose and reduced food intake.
• Glucagon receptor activation: Unlike GLP-1 agonists, mazdutide also activates the glucagon receptor. This increases the body's energy expenditure and improves how the liver processes fat, leading to enhanced weight loss.
